Student Success School Supply Drive
July 26 - August 17
Help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn!
The Student Success Stores (SSS) provide free, anonymous school-based stores for students in grades 6–12. Students can access essential items including school supplies, hygiene products, food, and clothing—helping ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Items Needed:
• Mechanical pencils and lead
• Wood pencils
• Pens
• Highlighters and markers
• Colored pencils
• Pencil erasers
• Notebooks
• Two-pocket folders
• 1–2 inch three-ring binders
• Pencil cases
• Large, solid-colored backpacks (middle & high school students)
• Glue sticks
• Earbuds/headphones
• Calculators
• Planners

The Holy Spirit class with George Schmidt begins July 26.
What do you think about the Holy Spirit? Come explore passages of the Holy Spirit in scripture and think about the ways the Holy Spirit works in you today.
Summer Book Club
Welcome to the Summer Book Club! Grab the monthly book from your local library or favorite bookstore, enjoy reading amidst work, life, and travel, and then come to the Parish Hall at the end of the month for conversation and discussion.

For those interested, they can sign up for a group order through All Saints that will be placed on June 22. The discounted price for the book will be $15. Sunday Cycling
We'll meet at 4 p.m. at Antrim Park.
Bring a packed dinner to enjoy after we ride for an hour. This is a very family friendly trail that has a great playground to enjoy at the end.

Festival of Faiths & Nations
Celebrate the rich diversity of our community at the Festival of Faiths & Nations on Sunday, August 9, from 1:00–5:00 p.m. on the Worthington
Village Green.
Hosted by Worthington Interfaith Neighbors (WIN), this free, family-friendly event will feature representatives from more than 20 faiths and countries, with cultural displays, music, dance, hands-on activities, games, prizes, and more.
The festival will take place alongside Sunday Funday, offering even more food, entertainment, and activities throughout downtown Worthington. For more information, email WIN at windiversity@gmail.com.
Blessing of the Backpacks
The Blessing of the Backpacks is Sunday, August 16.
Students of all ages, including preschoolers, are invited to bring their backpacks or tote bags to our combined 10:45 a.m. service in the Sanctuary as we pray for them and the coming school year.
No backpack is required to receive a blessing. Come as you are and start the school year surrounded by encouragement, prayer, and community.
Johnny Steiner's annual summer show "About Time"
Let's go to Johnny Steiner's annual summer show together! His show's theme is "About Time" and will feature well-known songs, stellar local musicians, special guests, lots of humor, and much more.
Showtime: Sunday, August 16, at 2 p.m.
Where: Church of the Messiah in Uptown Westerville
Johnny is offering a special rate for groups at $15 a ticket with reserved seats.

Light Bulb Changing Day
On Saturday, August 22, we're replacing all of our fluorescent light bulbs with energy-efficient LEDs throughout the church.
If you have a ladder and are willing to lend a hand, we'd greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for helping us brighten ASLC!
