Justice Ministry will welcome Caitlin Tully of The Center for Family Safety and Healing for the seminar Recognize, Respond and Refer: Domestic Violence Sunday, Oct. 15. We’ll offer lunch at 12:15 p.m., with the program to follow at 1 p.m.
Tully will discuss issues that people struggle with if they suspect domestic violence, such as:
“What happens in their home is none of my business.”
“What if I say something and I’m wrong?”
“Why don’t they just leave?”
Participants will explore the dynamics of domestic violence, including the ways that we think and talk about abuse. Through an interactive exercise, the workshop will address how to recognize the warning signs of domestic violence and respond appropriately. Participants will learn strategies to help stop domestic violence in our communities.
