Re-engaging In-Person Worship and Ministry
At its June meeting, the Congregation Council appointed a Re-engaging Worship team, consisting of medical personnel, Council members, and church staff members, to develop a list of criteria to help us to gather in person with minimal risk. Just prior to their meeting in July, the Ohio Department of Health came up with The Ohio Public Health Advisory Alert System. This system consists of the four levels listed here:
Level 1 Yellow Public Emergency: Active exposure and spread.
Level 2 Orange Public Emergency: Increased exposure and spread. Exercise high degree of caution.
Level 3 Red Public Emergency: Very high exposure and spread. Limit activities as much as possible.
Level 4 Purple Public Emergency: Severe exposure and spread. Only leave home for supplies and services.
This system became the tool the Re-engaging Worship team used to develop the levels for re-engaging in-person worship and ministry at All Saints, along with many other guidelines designed for churches. The chart here explains the guidelines All Saints will be using to determine when we will re-engage in in-person worship and ministry meetings.
Because All Saints primarily serves two counties, Franklin County and Delaware County, both county levels will be taken into consideration. The highest or severest emergency level between the two counties will be matched with All Saints’ corresponding emergency level on the COVID-19 Emergency Level Guidelines chart. For example, if Franklin County is a Level 3 and Delaware County is a Level 1, All Saints would be at a Level 3 on the COVID-19 Emergency Level Guidelines chart.
