Daily Morning Prayer
We are a small prayer group, made up of mostly retirees, that meets four days a week. We use an abbreviated version of Luther's Order for Morning Prayer (pp. 293 in Hymnal) - without any of the singing and with daily lessons from the Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Lectionary. We also focus our daily prayers around a different theme for each day:
Monday - the church and its mission
Tuesday - individuals/families in need of care
Wednesday - the nation, the world, and its leaders
Thursday - care for God's creation
Monday through Thursday at 8:30 AM.
Daily Morning Prayer is on hiatus for the summer. We plan to restart in late August or early September. If you would like to follow along with the daily readings for your own Bible study and prayer time, you can pick up the information from the Welcome Center counter in the Narthex.
