The Chancel Choir at All Saints Lutheran Church is committed to providing leadership and enlivening of the congregation's worship through song. The choir prepares music to the glory of God that goes beyond traditional hymn singing and offers a small-group opportunity for faith formation through music. We sing not only to provide beautiful music that praises God but also to enrich the Word for the congregation.
The Chancel Choir is comprised of singers who enjoy the art of singing and are passionate about contributing challenging (typically classical/classically choral) works to the traditional worship service.
Rehearsal and Worship Schedule
The Chancel Choir rehearses from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Wednesday evenings, every week, from Labor Day to Pentecost (September through May), in the choir room. The choir also rehearses on Sunday mornings.
The choir prepares an anthem for every Sunday during the choir season. The time varies weekly based on the worship schedule (from 8:15 to 11 a.m.).
The Chancel Choir at All Saints prepares two Masterwork presentations each choir year. The first presentation is in the season of Advent and the second presentation is in the season on Lent.
The presentation during the season of Lent this year will be: Schubert's Mass in G and will be presented on March 18th during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. traditional services.
