All Saints is pleased to introduce “The Treasure Box,” a source for low-cost, healthy food, to the Worthington and greater Columbus community.
About the boxes: Each “Treasure Box,” offered in conjunction with Good Source Solutions, is filled with nutritious products that save families time and money. Community members pay $30 for a 22- to 24-pound box filled with brand-name groceries that would retail for $75 to $100. The pre-assembled boxes contain nine to 12 pounds of protein along with vegetables, side dishes and desserts. Specific items vary month to month but include family favorites from pork chops and chicken wings to baby corn and pancakes.
How you help : “The Treasure Box” program offers cost savings to all families who wish to practice good stewardship of their resources, regardless of financial need. By buying the boxes, your family can help increase the quantities that make low prices possible for all. All Saints also will offer the opportunity to purchase boxes for the Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry to share with its clients. And all participants help to lower prices for the boxes, as Good Source counts on bulk buying to keep supply costs down.
