Running out of excuses for being out of shape? Here goes another: All Saints is forming a running and walking group that will improve your health and raise money for Lutheran Social Services Food Pantries.
Who can join: Anyone and everyone. Age does not matter, current physical condition does not matter, and it does not matter if you want to train for a full marathon (26.2 miles) or simply walk a 5k (3.1 miles) to "get in better shape to keep up with the kids/grandkids."
Annual Run for the Pantry
Saints in Stride is kicking off its annual Run for the Pantry.
Official training for the Half Marathon begins the last week in July.
SIS is also offering 5K and 10K training schedules for walkers and "novice" runners.
All of this training will have your ready to complete the Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon, and Columbus Wellness 5K, on Sunday, Oct. 17. The Run for the Pantry raises money for Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio's Food Pantry. Last year we managed to raise nearly $7,000, and this year we hope to do even better. The Sign-Up sheet is in the Gathering Area or contact aslc@saintsonhigh.org.
