Family Worship Services
Experiencing worship with your children is important as a parent.
Deuteronomy 6 tells us to love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and strength. It goes on to say, “Impress (the commandments) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (vs.7) As a church, we want to make sure we provide opportunities for children to be able to worship with not only their parents, but other brothers and sisters in Christ.
We will not offer Sunday School on the following dates to allow our families to worship together. The dates: Jan. 8, Feb. 5, March 4, April 1 and May 13.
Take a journey
This year, we will be grabbing our travel guides, taking a trip and exploring what it means to be a child of God.
Our preschoolers will travel through the great stories of the Bible, including Creation, Noah building an ark, Moses writing in stone and Jesus sharing a boy’s lunch with 5,000 people! The kindergartners through 5th-graders will travel through The Lord’s Prayer. What does it mean? How can children apply it to their lives now?
One new thing you will notice is that each week, students will take home a postcard from their travels. We encourage you to take these postcards, read them over with your children and place them on the magnet display clip provided at the beginning of the year. (Your refrigerator will love the added artwork.) As with any trip, we want to share with others, especially with our parents!
