Fair Trade Coffee Sundays

All Saints offers its community a chance to buy coffee through the Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade Coffee Project.

When: Between service times on the first Sunday of each month.

About the project: The LWR Fair Trade Coffee Project ensures that more of the money you spend on coffee reaches the farmers who actually grow it. Fair trade coffee is a simple solution that means the difference—quite literally—between surviving and not surviving for small-scale coffee farmers.

Laurels of Worthington worship services

Teams of at least three volunteers plan and lead worship at The Laurels of Worthington nursing home, including hymn selection, Scripture readings and a message.

The planning for each service usually takes no more than two hours, and volunteers are called upon to serve three to four times per year. The worship services are conducted from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. Sundays, with volunteers asked to arrive 15 minutes before the start of service to prepare.

Volunteers of various skills are needed, including instrumentalists and those willing to lead hymns as well as those who will conduct readings, but the only requirements are a love of worship and compassion for the residents who otherwise might not get the opportunity to attend a worship service.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Kay Labosky, director of lay ministry.

Members helping members

Do you need help preparing your income taxes? We have members who can help.

All Saints members are encouraged to show Christ's love to those who need help with household projects in every season. For jobs from spring cleaning to lawn mowing to leaf raking and snow removal, along with many other tasks that make a house more homey inside and out, volunteers are needed. Contact All Saints to volunteer or to request assistance.
