You can help

Help plan JAM (Jesus and Me)

All Saints is planning a youth group for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders, who will meet monthly for fun and fellowship outside of the regular Sunday School hour.

Volunteers are needed for the planning team for this fantastic new opportunity. Please contact Lisa Brooks if you are interested in joining the team.

We’re having a party

Volunteers are needed to make our May 10 farewell party for Pastor Glenn Zorb a success. E-mail Marj Stevenson to offer help with the program, decorations, reservations or the meal.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild serves the needs of the traditional and contemporary worship by preparing the altar and worship space prior to services.

The hard-working members of the Altar Guild are the unseen hands who wash and place vestments, trim candles, prepare the elements of the Eucharist, seasonally decorate the Sanctuary and Parish Hall and otherwise make sure everything is in its place as worship begins on Sunday mornings or special occasions.

Deacons

Deacons help in the distribution of the sacrament Holy Communion -- often called the Lord's Supper or the Eucharist. These volunteers serve those who come to receive the real presence of Christ through bread and wine.

Greeters

These important volunteers carry out the practice and tradition of Christian hospitality by welcoming people as they arrive at worship. Friendly faces to regular attendees, greeters serve a crucial role in making visitors feel welcome by guiding them to the guest book and name tags or providing assistance in finding the nursery or coat closets.

Lay readers

All Saints lay readers share the words of Scripture – usually one reading from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament – with the congregation during traditional worship services. Usually, readers are called to serve at two or three services during the year.

Musicians

Martin Luther considered music to be one of the most important ways to build faith and discipleship. Click here for the opportunities to share your musical talent with the congregation and the wider community.

Nursery volunteers

All Saints nursery provides care for children during all Sunday morning worship services and on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Volunteers are vital to caring for the littlest of God's flock, and are always needed. A special need for volunteers arises on Christmas Eve, when our professional nursery leader gets a well-deserved break.

Sacristans

These volunteers oversee the activities of the acolyte and crucifer, making sure they have matches, robes and other needed supplies. In addition, if an acolyte or a crucifer is missing, these volunteers find substitutes within the congregation. After service is completed, sacristans make sure robes and equipment are returned to their proper places and review the need for any repairs or replacements. Sacristans are asked to serve an average of two weeks per month for no more than 30 minutes per week.

Ushers

These volunteers display Christian hospitality by making worshippers feel welcome at All Saints. Ushers distribute the bulletins that allow regular attendees and newcomers to follow the worship service, direct people to open seats within the Sanctuary or Parish Hall and invite people forward to commune. In addition, ushers collect the offering and present it to the presiding pastor for blessing.
