Witness Cook-in

Are you a people person? If so, we have an invitation you can’t pass up.

All Saints’ witness invitation and welcome team is having a “cook-in” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 12 in Parish Hall. Hoggy’s will cater a pulled pork/chicken dinner with all the fixings, and the room will be filled with friendly people.

What’s the occasion? Our team is responsible for making plans to assure that All Saints invites and welcomes people to our church in Christ’s name. Because we can’t do all the inviting and welcoming ourselves, we need you to help. For most people, it’s a high hurdle to enter a church where they don’t know anyone.

The best thing that can happen for these newcomers is to be immediately approached by a friendly person with a word of welcome and an offer of assistance in finding their way.

There are two ways you can help:
• Welcome Center hosts serve on a rotating basis at their preferred service
• No One Stands Alone greeters just come to church as usual, and seek out those who may be new in order to offer friendly hospitality

We know that All Saints has much to offer those seeking a church home. We’d like you to pray about whether serving in one or both of these ministries might be something God is calling you to do to bring these newcomers closer to Him.

So mark it on your calendar now to join us for that great Hoggy’s meal. We will ask for a free will offering that evening to help cover the costs. Contact the church office to reserve your dinner. (614-885-0112 or ASLC@saintsonhigh.org)

We look forward to sharing ideas about how we can work together to assure that our visitors are warmly greeted and invited to become part of the community of Christ at All Saints.
