Best Buy Program

All Saints’ Hunger Task Group is pleased to offer to the congregation a source for low-cost, healthy food, the “Best Buy Program”.

Changes!

Atlantic Food, supplier of Best Buy boxes, has announced a change in operations. They have received approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to pack the Basic Value Boxes at their Cincinnati facility rather than contracting with another facility in Atlanta.

This means they will have direct control over the products included in each month’s box as well as quality control of packing, ensuring that advertised items will be included in each box or like-kind substitutions will be guaranteed. At a recent meeting, All Saints requested that the type of food included in these boxes be the healthiest possible, such as plain chicken, beef and pork cuts and flash frozen vegetables.

February orders are due Feb. 9 and will be delivered to All Saints on Feb. 16.

The Best Buy Program offers cost savings to all families who wish to practice good stewardship of their resources, regardless of financial need.

Atlantic Foods, which sponsors the program, offers two styles of boxes.  Both are filled with nutritious products that save families and individuals time and money, with menus that change each month.
